Elizabeth Hartman - Spectacular Savanna

Qty Available: 2

The animals of the African Savanna are amazing and iconic and I had so much fun turning some of them into patchwork blocks! This 64” x 84” sampler quilt is made using conventional patchwork techniques. All pieces are square or rectangular except the rhino’s horn, which is made using a cutting guide and a shortcut piecing technique similar to Lisa the Unicorn’s horn or Norm and Nanette’s hats. The blocks are made using a combination of fat quarters and fat eighths and the pattern includes a detailed fabric guide. You can use the guide to duplicate my fabrics exactly, or to plan a fantastic fabric combination of your own. The background fabric in my sample quilt is Kona Metal. Block details are made using Kona Snow, Pepper, and Wasabi.
